Typical feelings: does this sound like you?

Stressed  |  Depressed

You are possibly feeling depressed

“I had supported Sandra without finding an outlet for my feelings and this had sapped my emotional reserves.”

Breast cancer will involve loss of some sort. Women and men both go through grief but often in different forms. If the loss is unmourned it can lead to depression.

Signs of depression are irritability, anger, fatigue, a lack of concentration, sleep problems, poor memory. Bear in mind though, that absence of depression does not mean absence of distress.

What to do

Depression and anxiety can be treated. For more detailed information about depression see www.beyondblue.org.
